Outdoor Dance Portrait of Amelia Tyler

Outdoor Dance Portrait of Amelia Tyler

I first saw Amelia perform at the Can You Dance Convention in 2017. She was a fantastic talent then so shooting her three years later was a tremendous opportunity.

Before the shoot, Amelia and I discussed what outfits she had and the types of poses that would work.

The session was fantastic, and I felt like we captured exactly what we wanted.

Amelia Bio Updated:

Since Our Last Shoot, How Has Your Dance Journey Progressed?

I am still training at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts going into my final year before Upper School.

Have You Done Anything Exciting Since Our Last Shoot?

I have done the CYD Dance Stars. I auditioned for English National Ballet Swan Lake and successfully got the part; unfortunately, due to the Corona Virus, the show got cancelled. I was awarded a prestigious scholarship off Eve Pettinger MBE for my ballet.

How Have You Found Lockdown? What Are the Negative and Positive Impacts?

I have embraced lockdown to try and work on my weaknesses. I have been able to train with professional dancers who I wouldn’t usually be able to take classes with. One being my biggest inspiration Natalia Osipova who is a Principle at the Royal Ballet.

What Have You Missed the Most Due to Lockdown?

I have missed the atmosphere and space of the studios during lockdown. But most of all, dancing with my friends.

Did You Enjoy Working With Paul Again? What Did You Enjoy?

I love working with Paul, creating and getting amazing shots. I always find Paul welcoming and fun to shoot with.

Do You Have Anything Exciting Coming Up?

In September I will be going into my final year of school. So I will be auditioning for Upper Schools.
